Message From Our Founders

Part of us wants to laugh when we are referred to as the founders of CSC.  If it had been up to us we would have done it wrong. We would not have had enough wisdom, endurance and grace to get this ministry started, much less keep it going strong for all these years. God founded CSC. He found a few willing young people to whom He gave the vision. He provided the smarts, the supporters, the strength, the joy and the ability to bounce back from disappointments and difficulties. CSC was founded on his goodness and mercy, and his love for the broken young lives that have come to live with us since 1979.

It has been exciting to be a part of this work through the years. Through economic ups and downs, political turmoil in the Philippines, natural and manmade disasters, and the heartaches that come from working with abused, malnourished and sick children, but also through the joys and the thrills of answered prayers and changed lives, we have been blessed. We have learned over and over again that those who work with God’s children get back much more than they give.

We hope that this has been or will be the case with you. In sharing with children who have suffered so much, and in giving them a second chance at love, acceptance and family, you are doing something that our Lord considers very important. May the smiles of these kids brighten up your life and give you a sense of fulfillment and happiness. You are helping rescue the perishing and give life and opportunity to those who might otherwise not have it. What could be more exciting than that?
