If someone were to sit down and tell you how CSC became the ministry it is
today, the story would surely keep coming around to faithfulness. The staff
who stepped out in faith to start it, the donors who sacrifice to support
it, and of course, the God who is faithful to lead and surround it would all
certainly be described. But the story would not be complete without telling
of those who have committed to pray. Those who pray daily and diligently,
who view prayer as their primary role at CSC. What a story of faithfulness
they have. Thanks for coming to this place and joining them...and us. Your
prayers make all the difference in what we do.

The final adoptive family of 2011 has arrived at CSC! It has been an amazing year for adoptions. God has answered many, many, many prayers.
Continue to pray for the children who have joined families this year. Pray for this family at the shelter now.

Melvin has had a dream for a long time to become a pilot. In June, he took a big step toward that dream when he enrolled at Indiana Aerospace University in the course of Aviation Technology - Major in Flying. At the beginning of November, Melvin took his dream from the classroom to the runway for his first flight lessons. Melvin started his pilot training in a two-seater airplane. He admits to being scared before taking off with the instructor at the controls. Though he has been in an airplane before, never had he been in one that small. By the end of weekend of flying, Melvin had been given the controls for taxiing on the runway and also in flight. He was also given the green light to take off on his last session!
At the end of the weekend, Melvin could not stop talking about the entire weekend of flight. Even though he was nervous before the first take off, he is not questioning his dream of becoming a pilot. The first flight lesson solidified his dream as his goal. He said he is very thankful for this opportunity and excited for his dream to be becoming a reality.
Keep Melvin in your prayers as he continues to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot.
See a few pictures Melvin was able to snap when he did not have his hands on the flight controls!

Our new sibling group of five will be in isolation for several more days. These are very active kids and it isn't easy for them to be cooped up in their room in the infirmary. Pray they make a good adjustment to living in the Eicher Home when they are finally able to join the kids there. Pray for them as they will be starting school soon, especially the four-year-old twin boys who have not had a lot of supervision and find it difficult to follow instructions. Pray for patience for Dondon and Ivy, their new house parents, and for the teachers.
Eldie and Laarne are the two great counselors at the shelter. Everyday they meet with the children to help them work through issues. Keep the counselors in your prayers as they continue to help the children.
