HISTORY
Children of Hope School began in 1998. It was the result of years of praying and planning and was built because our staff believed that all of our children deserve a quality education, and that this was not available in the local school system.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide the best possible develop- mental education to the children of CSC and to selected children from the community, helping prepare our children for whatever God might have in store for them in the future.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe that the educational needs of all our children can best be met in an environment of inclusion, and non-graded, multi-age instruction that focuses on the abilities and potential of each student.

School Year Has Ended!

The 2007-2008 school year ended in a flurry of activity. First there was the "Talents Galore" night in which the students showcased their abilities in the arts. It was apparent between the paintings, greeting cards, and the musical numbers that there is no shortage of talent at Children of Hope School. Tuesday was the last day of school and it culminated with the graduation ceremony that night. Juancho, Rodrigo, Sheena, Wilmar, and Rafael graduated from preschool. They will start in Level A next school year. Analiza graduated from grade six. Next year she will still attend CHS in preparation for high school the following school year. Another good year has come to a close. Now the students and teachers get a much deserved vacation.

Spotlight: Music

The end of the school year is only one month away and this means the students are practicing for the final performance of this year. "Talents Galore" will be held on April 18 here at the Children of Hope School. Several of the students are using all their spare time before and after school to practice their musical pieces. Jeneviev is usually found at the piano. Milbert goes for the drum set first, but also enjoys the guitar and trumpet. Romeo provides the bass line for the worship band and will also perform on the trumpet. Level A's music class is practicing a recorder piece under the direction of student director Ardian. Rene is one of many trumpeters. Junalyn and Analiza will be playing a clarinet duet again. This night will feature three original pieces, one of which was written by Janice. There are many students involved in music and more are starting all the time. Janice has been playing violin for a couple of years and now is starting to teach Jeneviev and Analiza the basics. There is talent galore here at CCHS! Move your mouse over each picture for the caption.

Easter Celebration!

Wednesday's school day ended with an Easter celebration. Several students led a couple songs everyone had learned recently. Pastor Jun gave an Easter message to the students. He explained why the story of Easter seems like a sad story because of our sins and Jesus' death. But it is actually a very happy story. Pastor Jun then explained how Jesus loved us enough to die for us to take away our sins. And not only did He die, but He rose again!
